NATIONAL LADDER SAFETY MONTH
As a long‑standing partner of the American Ladder Institute (ALI), WERNER is committed to reinforcing the importance of proper ladder use and improving safety for everyone who works at height. For the 10th consecutive year, we are supporting ALI’s National Ladder Safety Month initiative, helping share critical education and best practices across the industry.
This year, WERNER’s own Ryan Mittelmeier, Technical Service & Safety Representative, will present Week 4 of ALI’s webinar series: Climb Safely, Work Safely, providing expert insights into safe climbing and ladder operation.
On this page, you’ll also find helpful ladder safety resources—including NEW safety videos, an online/printable ladder inspection form, and options to schedule professional ladder safety training.
SAFETY STARTS BEFORE THE FIRST STEP

The Right Ladder Matters
Every safe climb starts before your feet ever leave the ground. Choosing the right ladder for the job sets the tone for everything that follows, from stability and reach to confidence at height. When the ladder fits the task, crews can focus on the work, not the risk.

Know Before You Climb
Ladders work hard, and so do the people who use them. Taking a moment to inspect your ladder before climbing helps catch issues early, preventing problems later. A quick check can make the difference between a solid climb and a dangerous situation.

Set It Up Right Every Time
A ladder is only as safe as the way it’s set up. Proper placement, angle, and stability create a strong foundation before work begins. When setup is done right, every step feels more secure, and productivity can move forward with confidence.
