Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I was hoping for When I purchased this ladder I was hoping to have a multi purpose ladder that could be my go to ladder on a daily basis. Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations, it is very difficult to adjust ,impossible to stand up when used as an extension ladder and 2 braces on the bottom rungs have already broken.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love its versatility, but... I've been a fan of this ladder for 8 years. Finally bought my own and on the third use, a slight bang against a concrete wall bent one of the legs. Alas, no warranty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from To short I bought it for a 17 foot ladder it's not hardly 15, don't know if it will work for what I needed will find out this weekend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable multi-use ladder As a painting contractor for the last 17 years I've used the MT 26 & MT 22 extensively. The MT 26 is somewhat heavy but not extraordinarily so, as it is rated as a Type1A, 300 lb test weight. It's a large ladder & large ladders can be heavy. I've never had to ask for help using it in whatever configuration is needed. It's very versatile with multiple combinations of ladder configurations. I use the MT 26 mainly for painting walls where steps/stairs are present. It collapses to a length that can easily be carried in a small pickup w/o a rack if need be. Definitely NOT a homeowner ladder imo(the MT 17, MT22 would be better suited for homeowners). In 17 years of constant use I've never had any issues with the latches. Bottom Line: Well worth the $ for a quality product engineered to last many years

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No replacement parts The product was a little more difficult to use than similar ones, but it worked well. However, i damaged the bottom rung of the ladder. Obviously easy to fix by replacing the rivets but Werner will not sell me a replacement rung. The few dollars I saved by purchasing a Werner versus the other brand is now obviously a serious mistake, since the other brand has a lifetime warranty. I am now going to complain to Lowes about this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Requires two people to use I'm sick and tired of equipment made so heavy and awkward to handle that it requires a two person team just to move it and get it in place for work. Ladders should not be a project unto themselves!!!!! Will never buy another ladder that I cannot carry and assemble myself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Multi ladder This thing is a piece of junk. Spent quite a bit on this ladder. used it once now one of the locking mechanism is stuck in a locked position. I have tried everything to unlock it and as a result broke the plastic pieces on the end. I will never buy another product from this company.

When using as extension ladder, can you extend just one leg fully, or do you need to extend both legs in equal increments? Does it matter where the central hinge point is located along the length of the extended ladder?

Asked by: Bob Smith
For the MT-22 to obtain the extension ladder mode, you will need to extend both legs. Please contact Customer Care at 888-523-3371 Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. We can send you a manual, instructing you on how to extend to the extension ladder position.

Different types of ladders are designed to keep you safe and productive when climbing or standing. Using the wrong style of ladder or simply ignoring the limitations of climbing equipment can result in a fall or serious injury.
Height reach Height is referring to the actual ladder height. Extension ladders should be 7 to 10 feet longer than the highest support or contact point, which may be the wall or roof line. The highest standing level is four rungs down from the top. The highest permitted standing level on a stepladder is two steps down from the top.

Reach height is the maximum reach assuming a 5’6” person with a vertical 12” reach.
Ladders are designed to safely hold up to a specific amount of weight. The Werner Performance System defines five different capacities using a color and star rating system. The Duty Rating is defined as the maximum safe load capacity of the ladder. A person’s fully clothed weight plus the weight of any tools and materials that are carried onto the ladder must be less than the load capacity.

Performance system
Werner offers ladder made from fiberglass and aluminum. Each material has characteristics which make it best for certain applications, or one material may simply fit the personal preferences of the user. For example, if working around electricity users should select fiberglass products due to their non-conductive side rails.
