Werner® launches new portable mobile access tower

Jun 29, 2017

Werner, the market-leading brand for access solutions, has introduced an affordable mobile access tower designed for users to build up to three heights.

Intended for light trade and domestic use the 303 Series Mobile Access Tower is a lightweight option for those looking for a cost-effective access solution that can be easily transported and erected. The modular system is ideal for a range of tasks, and available in three configurations, which can be tailored depending on the work required.

For low level working, the base pack provides a portable tower that can be transported in the boot of most estate cars. With a platform height of 0.7m and a maximum working height of 2.7m it reaches the same working heights of a ladder with the added benefit that you can work comfortably for a longer period of time.

The tower can then be extended with two module options allowing for a working height of 3.8m for the second configuration and 5.8m for the highest tower option. The tower’s load capacity allows for 140kg on each platform level, meaning one person can work freely with tools and materials within easy reach, and it has a double guardrail installed for maximum safety.

Sophie Ellam, Product Manager for Werner, said: “The mobile access tower has been designed to be an affordable solution, targeted specifically at small businesses and the domestic market. We have identified that people carrying out this sort of work were reluctant to hire access towers on a regular basis so this is an ideal solution as it has many of the benefits of other professional access towers on the market without the cost implications. Also, as with other access towers it fully complies with EN1004, which is the standard ensuring they meet minimum safety requirements, giving users the peace of mind when working at height.

“The advantage of the tower is that it all parts of the tower come in one complete pack eliminating the need for additional components and allows for a one person operation for the base pack. As with all tower solutions we always recommend that users carry out PASMA training to understand how to safely assemble, dismantle and relocate towers without risk of injury.”

The tower comes equipped with additional safety features including double braked wheels for easy manoeuvrability and safety, diagonal bracing to provide rigidity to the tower and toeboards to prevent tools from falling. The mobile access tower also conforms to Working at Height Regulations.
