WernerCo increases manufacturing in Maldon

WernerCo, the leading access equipment specialist, is delighted to announce that it has increased manufacturing at its UK facility in Maldon, Essex with the production of its extension ladders.
With a forecast of the manufacture of thousands of extra units annually, this will see the increase of personnel at the site with additional jobs created, which is not only great news for the local area, but exciting and advantageous news for UK manufacturing.
Jan Zmrzlik, General Manager Operations at WernerCo, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce that we have extended manufacturing at our Maldon site. There is such a great wealth of expertise in the country and we are excited to be harnessing that.
“This is just the first phase of new ladder production and we are looking at bringing additional ladder manufacturing to the UK to take advantage of these skills. WernerCo has production facilities all over the world, so it’s been great to see the investment in manufacturing in our UK business.”
WernerCo’s Maldon facility specialises in aluminium welding, with an annual production of around 500,000 units, including products such as the Mobile Scaffold Towers and Podiums. It also has a dedicated Service Centre for Aluminium Scaffolding.
WernerCo additionally has a centrally located National Distribution Centre in Burton Upon Trent, which provides distribution and collection facilities to its UK customer base.
