Rated 2 out of 5 by MT13 Have the Mt 13 ft ladder. When you want to divide for scaffold use, the one side is not very stable when you use the clamps to attach into the hole. They should have hinge locks like the other side. Would not use for scaffold. Good for only a ladder. February 7, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by NOT A 13' LADDER!!!! This ladder at the fully extended length is not even 11'. We purchased it to get on the roof of our motorhome and knew we needed a 13' ladder that this one is CLEARLY advertised as. January 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A really versatile ladder and easy to transport. I bought the MT 22 to reach the fascia and lower roof levels for my two homes. I need access to hang Christmas lights and for roof & gutter cleaning. It replaced a small standard type 16 ft extension ladder. The MT 22 is about 6 foot in length folded that can fit is most SUV,s and in the back of my pickup truck without it having to hang well past the bumper as most extension ladders do.At first it seems a bit heavy (about 47lbs) but it makes for a very sturdy and stable platform. When setting it up as an extension ladder you must extend it out on the ground. Once it is up there is no rope to extend it because it is not kind of ladder. If its extended over 12 feet it can be a challenge to get it up against the wall. As one other reviewer stated you must walk it up. But once it is up and you are on it, you can really feel the stability. At my place if work I have four ladders, three A frames and one 28' ft extension, all of them are Werner's. There are dozens of different types of ladders because no one ladder can do it all. I'm considering adding this one to the inventory to round out my needs for ladder climbing. It is a great ladder that fills a niche and by no means the only ladder you'll need. November 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by As far as ladders are concerned: Werner is the Best! I have wanted one of the MT-22 ladders for a while. My father-in-law has 3 different Werner ladders and loves them. I had borrowed his MT-22 a few weeks back and found it very easy to use. I had just told my wife I wanted a ladder for Christmas and then yesterday saw that Home Depot had the Werner MT-22 for sale for $125.00. A week long sale starting Black Friday. That's a crazy price for what you are getting in this ladder. When I was up at the register a cashier said to me she has two other customers before me purchase one. When Home adopts regular price is $197,Walmarts $263 I'm glad I went and bought one. This ladder will last for years. One of my son' s is home from college and he helped take it out of the car. He said,"Nice ladder Dad." If my comments help you in your research on ladder, great. If they didn't ,you will one day regret not getting a Werner! November 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Ladder I purchased this ladder to put the Christmas lights on the house this year. I bought the MT-26 model. I did a lot of research and decided I wanted an articulating ladder for misc maintenance around my current house, which I bought last year and is a two story. I have high lightbulbs in chandeliers (can use this as a step ladder) and as an extension ladder I can reach all the windows and eaves on my two story house.I feel I need to preface my review by saying I'm not particularly fond of working from ladders. I'm not at all afraid of heights, but once over about 12ft or so I tend to get uneasy on a ladder. All that to say I'm not a contractor who is going up and down ladders all day every day.The MT-26 is absolutely rock solid as a step ladder or A-frame, even fully extended. Much more so than any ladder I've every owned. It's very good as an extension ladder too, although it does seem a bit bouncy on the trip up. I especially noticed this about mid-way up when crossing the articulating hinges. However once you get up to height and stop moving around it feels pretty solid. The wide base on both ends is a big help. You can lock it in against the house and the eave and it seems there is no way it could go over sideways. Total confidence booster. The one negative I have is that it's kinda difficult to put up as an extension ladder. You pretty much need some help. There is no way to extend it in the vertical position once you get so high you can no longer reach the locking pins. It can be done, but you have to "walk" it up the house all the way and can be hard to avoid windows, shutters, etc...I think the best benefit of this ladder is it's versatility and what you get for the money. I would have liked to look at Little Giant ladders also, but Home Depot had these in stock and the weather was cooperating for the weekend I needed to get the Xmas lights up. Very happy with the purchase so far. November 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by This lader has a wide range of usefulness I am a 74 yr old who "Would rather do it myself", & absolutely love this ladder. It takes up little room in my crowded garage; & can be used in many, many situations. Yes it is a tad heavy, but that makes it STURDY & I don't need to cart the whole thing around when only half of it is needed. Bought it at a "Big Box Store".The best ladder I have ever purchased for my uses. September 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Ladder I have used a lot of different ladders over the years as a security insallation tech, I have used the little giant ladder as well and this one is really top notch. I bought it specifically for use on stairs and It is the most stable ladder I have used on stairs.. works well for painting and hanging photos. Also for tall rooms as a step ladder.. October 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Ladder Just bought this ladder, and am very happy with it. I used it around the house in various positions. It is easy to use, not heavy to carry, and seems sold. Good buy for the working man and homeowner. September 20, 2014

Sometimes it lifts off the ground and I lose control of it.

Also are there any videos or pictures of how to do it? If not, can you please create some, it would help a lot.

Answer:
You would want to bring the ladder back down the same way that you put it up. We would advise using 2 people for safety purposes but if a second person is not available you would want to "walk the ladder down" just like you "walked the ladder up" for use. We can provide you with a copy of the instruction manual if you would like.

I am able to extend the extensions and I can open it partially to use as a step ladder as a V. But I can not fully open the ladder. As a result I can not use it as a ladder.

Answer:
Werner Co does not put a life expectancy on our ladders. If the ladder is stored indoors and taken care of it could last several years.

I just purchased a 13' MT22 ladder. When I set it up in the extension mode against the wall I felt concerned about the stability on a tile floor. My vaulted ceilings are about 17' feet tall on the vaulted sides. I can reach the top of the wall when standing on the fourth rung from the top. I made sure the angle results in the rubber feet being positioned flat on the surface of the tile. The ladder seems very stable, but do you feel I should invest in the PK70-1 levelor?

A leg leveler is not required when painting indoors. You would want to use a leg leveler if you are working on an uneven surface.

I have the mt-22 & mt-26 ladders and one of the hard plastic knobs on the top of the mt-26 ladder that you push in to fold up the ladder broke into pieces. I was surprised that it broke so easily. I was sliding a sign face out of a cabinet and it bumped into the knob and that is all it took for it to shatter into multiple fragments. Also a couple of the plastic feet are broken on the mt-22. Where can I get these parts. Other than the broken plastic parts I am very happy with the ladders.

Answer:
In order to get the hard plastic knob at the top of the ladder, you would need part # 36-32. The part # for the feet would be 21-28. These part numbers are the same for both the MT-22 and the MT-26. You can order these replacement parts online at www.wernerco.com or through any of our distributors. To find distributors in your area please visit the same website.

Different types of ladders are designed to keep you safe and productive when climbing or standing. Using the wrong style of ladder or simply ignoring the limitations of climbing equipment can result in a fall or serious injury.
Height is referring to the actual ladder height. Extension ladders should be 7 to 10 feet longer than the highest support or contact point, which may be the wall or roof line. The highest standing level is four rungs down from the top. The highest permitted standing level on a stepladder is two steps down from the top.

Reach height is the maximum reach assuming a 5’6” person with a vertical 12” reach.
Ladders are designed to safely hold up to a specific amount of weight. The Werner Performance System defines five different capacities using a color and star rating system. The Duty Rating is defined as the maximum safe load capacity of the ladder. A person’s fully clothed weight plus the weight of any tools and materials that are carried onto the ladder must be less than the load capacity.

Werner offers ladder made from fiberglass and aluminum. Each material has characteristics which make it best for certain applications, or one material may simply fit the personal preferences of the user. For example, if working around electricity users should select fiberglass products due to their non-conductive side rails.
