PDIA04 Type IA Fiberglass Podium Ladder is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I purchased a PD1A04 Podium Ladder shortly after you introducted them, "BEST LADDER I HAVE EVER OWNED", Thanks I purchased a PD1A04 Podium Ladder shortly after you introducted them (BEST LADDER I HAVE EVER OWNED) I have 4 other Warner ladders which I love, Thanks. I am 71 and this ladder is safe and makes me feel even safer with all the great features. I can't say too much about what this ladder has allowed me to do. The only disadvantage for being 6' tall is once I am on the platform in a room with 8' celling's I can not stand there in comfort, my head rubs the ceiling and my neck/head is at a 4/5 Degree angle. With such a wonderful ladder would you consider producing a 4' or 5' ladder the same as the 6'? PLEASE, I will purchase both at once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PDIA04-Safe and easy to use for work at 10ft area Ladder is light when carried, but strong- feels very solid when working on the platform. The feet are larger than standard ladder feet and help with stability.I am using it around my home to clean/repair gutters, mount security lighting, etc. Good safe product.Safety is always first and this ladder has been engineered well. Now I need the PDIAO6 to access the 12 foot range.

Will this ladder rust if left outside?

This ladder can tolerate some degree of elements but is not 100% rust proof. If exposed to extreme weathering, some components such as rivets, nuts, bolts, etc could rust over time.

AC24 Werner Multipurpose Project Tray compatibility

Dear Customer Service Rep: Is the AC24 Werner Multipurpose Project Tray compatible with the Werner 4-ft Fiberglass 300 -lb Type IA Platform Ladder, Model #:PDIA04? If not, is there an attachment for the 4 ft Platform Ladder that will accommodate a paint roller tray? Thank you!
Asked by: Anonymous
The AC24 is not compatible with the PDIA04. We do not manufacture a paint roller tray that is compatible with this model of ladder. This ladder does have the lock in system in which it could hold a paint cup (AC27-P), job bucket (AC50-JB-3), utility bucket (AC52-UB), job caddy (AC54-JC), utility hook (AC56-UH), and the Toollasso (AC58-TL).

Does this "ladder" with a "working surface" meet the requirements of OSHA for a working surface.

At heights over 4 foot, OSHA requires mid-rail and top rail protection from a fall.
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, our PDIA series of ladders are OSHA and ANSI compliant.

Difference Werner PD6204 and PDIA04

What is the difference between these two models. Was the model PDIA04 made for the Home Depot? And the PD6204 for the general distribution? Please advise. Thank Yoi
Asked by: Anonymous
The PDIA04 and PD6204 are both comparable 4 foot fiberglass podium ladders. Both ladders are rated for 300 pounds and meet the same testing specifications. The difference in the ladders are the channels and distributors which the ladders are sold through.

Is working from the platform the "intended" use of this ladder? What is Werner's stand or working from the lower steps of this ladder?

Asked by: Anonymous
You can work from the lower steps of the podium ladder as long as you are following the basic stepladders rules. To view the "dos and don'ts" please visit www.wernerco.com and view the ladder safety tips.

Different types of ladders are designed to keep you safe and productive when climbing or standing. Using the wrong style of ladder or simply ignoring the limitations of climbing equipment can result in a fall or serious injury.
Height is referring to the actual ladder height. Extension ladders should be 7 to 10 feet longer than the highest support or contact point, which may be the wall or roof line. The highest standing level is four rungs down from the top. The highest permitted standing level on a stepladder is two steps down from the top.

Reach height is the maximum reach assuming a 5’6” person with a vertical 12” reach.
Ladders are designed to safely hold up to a specific amount of weight. The Werner Performance System defines five different capacities using a color and star rating system. The Duty Rating is defined as the maximum safe load capacity of the ladder. A person’s fully clothed weight plus the weight of any tools and materials that are carried onto the ladder must be less than the load capacity.

Werner offers ladder made from fiberglass and aluminum. Each material has characteristics which make it best for certain applications, or one material may simply fit the personal preferences of the user. For example, if working around electricity users should select fiberglass products due to their non-conductive side rails.
