PDIA10 Type IA Fiberglass Podium Ladder is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I purchased a PD1A04 Podium Ladder shortly after you introducted them, "BEST LADDER I HAVE EVER OWNED", Thanks I purchased a PD1A04 Podium Ladder shortly after you introducted them (BEST LADDER I HAVE EVER OWNED) I have 4 other Warner ladders which I love, Thanks. I am 71 and this ladder is safe and makes me feel even safer with all the great features. I can't say too much about what this ladder has allowed me to do. The only disadvantage for being 6' tall is once I am on the platform in a room with 8' celling's I can not stand there in comfort, my head rubs the ceiling and my neck/head is at a 4/5 Degree angle. With such a wonderful ladder would you consider producing a 4' or 5' ladder the same as the 6'? PLEASE, I will purchase both at once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PDIA04-Safe and easy to use for work at 10ft area Ladder is light when carried, but strong- feels very solid when working on the platform. The feet are larger than standard ladder feet and help with stability.I am using it around my home to clean/repair gutters, mount security lighting, etc. Good safe product.Safety is always first and this ladder has been engineered well. Now I need the PDIAO6 to access the 12 foot range.

What is the difference between a PD6210 and a PDIA10?

Asked by: raiders
The PDIA10 and PD6210 are both comparable 10 foot fiberglass podium ladders. Both ladders are rated for 300 pounds and meet the same testing specifications. The difference in the ladders are the channels and distributors which the ladders are sold through.

why the long lead time to purchase the PDIA10

You seem to only sell this model thru Home Depot and Lowes. Both of them show a minimum 30 day lead time. Do you not have any other retailers that I can get this from any sooner
Asked by: Tom
The PDIA ladders ship through multiple warehouses to get to the stores. If you need something sooner you can order a PD6210 through a pro dealer.

How much does the ladder weigh?

For home use, are there any other 12' ladders that you would recommend to compare to the podium series? My primary concerns are stability and light weight for moving around easily.
Asked by: JK
The podium ladder weighs 55.5 lbs. You can go to the wernerco.com website and put in model number P378 and look at the Platform Ladder. Although, this is in aluminum. It weighs 32 lbs. For fiberglass platform and podium ladders at this height, you are around the 54 lbs. and above weight. You can do a search by ladder type, to see if there is anything else that you may be interested in. If you view the details of the ladder, you will find the weight in the description.

Different types of ladders are designed to keep you safe and productive when climbing or standing. Using the wrong style of ladder or simply ignoring the limitations of climbing equipment can result in a fall or serious injury.
Height is referring to the actual ladder height. Extension ladders should be 7 to 10 feet longer than the highest support or contact point, which may be the wall or roof line. The highest standing level is four rungs down from the top. The highest permitted standing level on a stepladder is two steps down from the top.

Reach height is the maximum reach assuming a 5’6” person with a vertical 12” reach.
Ladders are designed to safely hold up to a specific amount of weight. The Werner Performance System defines five different capacities using a color and star rating system. The Duty Rating is defined as the maximum safe load capacity of the ladder. A person’s fully clothed weight plus the weight of any tools and materials that are carried onto the ladder must be less than the load capacity.

Werner offers ladder made from fiberglass and aluminum. Each material has characteristics which make it best for certain applications, or one material may simply fit the personal preferences of the user. For example, if working around electricity users should select fiberglass products due to their non-conductive side rails.
