Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good ladder I recently purchased it due to the good price and excellent reputation. As a former paint contractor, I know the brand very well. I hate the weight of fiberglass ladders, so I chose aluminum. You can't go wrong with it.

how do i unlock the 360 ladder having difficulty

just received the ladder and unpacked it but can not open the ladder.what do ihave to do!
Asked by: Anonymous
When opening a step ladder for the first time, there are some packing components that are used to hold the ladder closed during transportation. The ladder may be wrapped in plastic or have a banding around the ladder. Also, near the bottom of the ladder, there are black clips that are used to keep the ladder closed. Once all of the packaging is removed from the ladder, the two side of the ladder should pull apart, using the spreader braces on the sides to set the ladder at the proper angle.

I need a ladder that is all aluminum with no ferrous metal parts.

Is the 388 6' alluminum ladder all aluminum?? Dennis Amaral Dignity Health Medical Foundation.
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately we do not offer a ladder that is absent of ferrous material. I assume you are seeking a ladder for a MRI room and unfortunately our ladders can not be used in those environments. Thank you for your inquiry.

What does "Max. Standing Height" mean?

In the "specifications" at http://us.wernerco.com/en/viewseries/Products/Climbing-Equipment/Stepladders/360 you refer to "Max. Standing Height." I don't know what this means.
Asked by: Anonymous
The maximum standing height is highest allowable step which a user may stand. When using a step ladder, the user may not stand on the top, or the rung just below the top of the ladder.

Often times the color of the ladder would indicate what the model and the weight rating of the ladder would be. In this case please contact our customer care department at 888-523-3370 Monday through Friday 8 AM till 5 PM EST about assistance you are seeking.

Different types of ladders are designed to keep you safe and productive when climbing or standing. Using the wrong style of ladder or simply ignoring the limitations of climbing equipment can result in a fall or serious injury.
Height is referring to the actual ladder height. Extension ladders should be 7 to 10 feet longer than the highest support or contact point, which may be the wall or roof line. The highest standing level is four rungs down from the top. The highest permitted standing level on a stepladder is two steps down from the top.

Reach height is the maximum reach assuming a 5’6” person with a vertical 12” reach.
Ladders are designed to safely hold up to a specific amount of weight. The Werner Performance System defines five different capacities using a color and star rating system. The Duty Rating is defined as the maximum safe load capacity of the ladder. A person’s fully clothed weight plus the weight of any tools and materials that are carried onto the ladder must be less than the load capacity.

Werner offers ladder made from fiberglass and aluminum. Each material has characteristics which make it best for certain applications, or one material may simply fit the personal preferences of the user. For example, if working around electricity users should select fiberglass products due to their non-conductive side rails.
