The PA206 6 ft-9 ft Aluminum Extension Plank is ideal for use on stepladders, telescoping multiladders, extension trestle ladders and extension and single straight ladders equipped with ladder jacks. Positive stops on the plank prevent overextending. Molded thermo-plastic spacer guides allow for easy open/close action. Made of 2in deep box section extrusions. Heavy end flange/handles for rigidity and ease of operation. Outer flange is open for ladder jack clamps. The extruded cross members are riveted with solid aluminum rivets. Locking mechanism sets the plank in 12 inch increments. 250 pound load capacity.

Do you have a storage bracket for the adjustable plank that allows you to hang the plank up on a wall?

Take 2-PA206/MT1-22 Compatability

I just purchased two MT1-22 multi-position ladders and one PA206 plank. The space between the inner rails of the ladders is exactly 12 inches, but the width of the outer surface of the small ends of the plank is 12-1/18 inch, so the plank does not fit between the rails of the ladders. The width of the long rails of the PA206 is also exactly 12 inches, but the perpendicular aluminum channel on the top and bottom of the PA206 rail ends increases the width to 12-1/8 inch. HOW DO I MAKE THE PA206 FIT INTO THE MT1-22?

The PA206 will not work for this ladder. You will need to purchase a stage that is less than 12".

Are you able to cut down and manufacture shorter Planks than 6'-9'?

We have an industrial application where we need to cover a pump well and we are interested in using this product to achieve fall protection. However, the space needed to cover is around 4 feet in length and we were wondering if Werner can manufacture and cut down a shorter plank for our use. Thank you for considering.

Unfortunately we do not to any custom builds on this model of plank. The shortest we manufacture is the PA206.

What is the heat rating?

What is the heat rating of the aluminum scaffold boards. Heat Stress crew was going to Heat Stress Relieve sleeves at 1400°F on the aluminum scaffold boards.

The PA206 is not to be subjected to anymore than 200 degrees F.

Using in tandem with different traditional step and mutli-purpose ladders

I have a standard 8ft Werner type 1 ladder and an Werner MT22. Can I use this plank in tandem with these two ladders or do I need identical ladders and do I need to ensure they are fixed height

The 2 ladders used to support the plank do not need to be identical ladders. As long as the plank and ladders are level you can use for your application.

MT-13 13 ft Type IA Telescoping MultiLadder

New Question: How does a 14" wide scaffold fit a 13" wide ladder? And your links provided in the eMail go NOWHERE!!! Original Question: Where is this WALK-BOARD/SCAFFOLD I see an all the documentation? I bought my ladder several years ago I have yet to see anything but the huge $500 WALK-BOARDS. I want to know what that is in the documentation pictures!

The PA206 which was recommended is an extendable plank. The ends which extend are 12" wide.

PA206 Plank Compatible w/MT-17 Ladders

Just bought 2 MT-17 ladders & looking for a work plank. The PA206 data says its 14" wide. The space between vertical rails on the MT-17 is way less than 14" yet the general PA206 information states its compatible with your telescoping/multi-function ladders. What I'm I misunderstanding???

The PA200 series planks are 14" wide in the middle, where the two sections overlap. When the ends of the plank are extended, the extended ends are 12" wide, which will fit inside of the rails on all of the MT ladders. This plank will have to be used with the ends extended through the rails of the ladder.

Can scaffolding planks be used as a bridge to cross over ditches and openings less than 4 feet deep?

We do not suggest using the plank in this manner. This plank is for use on ladders equipped with ladder jacks.

Will this plank work with the M1A-8-16B I just purchased in position 7?

For Position 7, the Self Supported Scaffold, a wooden plank is to be used as stated in the instruction manual. The wooden plank is to be cut to exact fit, and properly tied and secured to the ladder rungs.

Different types of ladders are designed to keep you safe and productive when climbing or standing. Using the wrong style of ladder or simply ignoring the limitations of climbing equipment can result in a fall or serious injury.
Height is referring to the actual ladder height. Extension ladders should be 7 to 10 feet longer than the highest support or contact point, which may be the wall or roof line. The highest standing level is four rungs down from the top. The highest permitted standing level on a stepladder is two steps down from the top.

Reach height is the maximum reach assuming a 5’6” person with a vertical 12” reach.
Ladders are designed to safely hold up to a specific amount of weight. The Werner Performance System defines five different capacities using a color and star rating system. The Duty Rating is defined as the maximum safe load capacity of the ladder. A person’s fully clothed weight plus the weight of any tools and materials that are carried onto the ladder must be less than the load capacity.

Werner offers ladder made from fiberglass and aluminum. Each material has characteristics which make it best for certain applications, or one material may simply fit the personal preferences of the user. For example, if working around electricity users should select fiberglass products due to their non-conductive side rails.
