I have a 32 ft Type 1A fiberglass extension ladder rated for 300 lbs. I believe the manufacturer was Cupwa. The label states it is a model 534-32.

My question is what if any Werner Leveler product I can use with that ladder.
Asked by: unlevel Jim
This is not a Werner model #. We do not suggest using the PK70-1 on this ladder.

Can I buy another PK70-1 jack unit only so I can leave one on both right and left side of the ladder at all times?

When I installed the PK70-1 per the instructions, the jack sticks down a little more than the ladder leg when it's in the full up position so I can't leave it on all the time unless I turn it over. if I had a second jack unit I could leave both on all the time and always support the ladder from both jacks instead of the ladder legs. Do you sell just another jack unit? How much would it cost?

Do you have a leveler that will work with the Series M7100-1 Fiberglass Manhole Ladder?

Asked by: Mike
Levelers should not be used with the Manhole Ladders. The narrow width of the manhole ladders will not accept the leg levelers.

extension ladder

can you use a leveler to repair a foot on extension ladder foot broke off or can you cut about 6" off and put new feet on or is there a way to repair paul
Asked by: paul
The PK70-1 Leg Levelers are not designed to replace the feet on an extension ladder. This set of levelers has only extension foot, meaning the other side of the ladder must still use the original ladder foot.

Different types of ladders are designed to keep you safe and productive when climbing or standing. Using the wrong style of ladder or simply ignoring the limitations of climbing equipment can result in a fall or serious injury.
Height is referring to the actual ladder height. Extension ladders should be 7 to 10 feet longer than the highest support or contact point, which may be the wall or roof line. The highest standing level is four rungs down from the top. The highest permitted standing level on a stepladder is two steps down from the top.

Reach height is the maximum reach assuming a 5’6” person with a vertical 12” reach.
Ladders are designed to safely hold up to a specific amount of weight. The Werner Performance System defines five different capacities using a color and star rating system. The Duty Rating is defined as the maximum safe load capacity of the ladder. A person’s fully clothed weight plus the weight of any tools and materials that are carried onto the ladder must be less than the load capacity.

Werner offers ladder made from fiberglass and aluminum. Each material has characteristics which make it best for certain applications, or one material may simply fit the personal preferences of the user. For example, if working around electricity users should select fiberglass products due to their non-conductive side rails.
