Why not make telescoping ladder jacks?

How can i easily reach my house siding at a lower height, the plank that rests on the ladder jacks is far away from the house using two 24 foot extension ladders for a 2-story house.
Asked by: Anonymous
The ladder jacks, AC10-20-02 are only designed to be used with extension ladders with the round or D-shaped rungs. The MT has a different style rung.

Plank Slope

What is the steepest plank slope allowed when using a Werner ladder jack scaffold system? If there is a slope limit, is there any documentation or warning labels that indicate the allowable plank slope? If there is no plank slope allowed (i.e., must be level), is there any documentation or warning labels that indicate this requirement?
Asked by: Anonymous
The planks should always be used level. As stated on the instructions labels on the aluminum planks, the planks, scaffolds and rail systems must be plumb, level, rigid and square.

What are the strength/capacity differences accross the the ac10 series?

What are the capacity differences between the AC10-20-02 and the AC10-14-02? What is the capacity of the AC10-20-03 relative to the others? Please elaborate on what advantages the 'long body' has to the 'short body' styles. What makes the $135 choice better than the $58 option. Thank you.
Asked by: Anonymous
The difference between the two sets of ladder jacks is the width of the plank that can be held by the set of ladder jacks. The short body jacks, the AC10-14-02, can hold a platform up to 14 inches wide. The wide body ladder jacks, the AC10-20-02, can hold a plank up to 20 inches wide.

What is the longest stage span you can have between 2 ladders? Can you place ladder jacks higher than 20' from base of ladders?

Asked by: Anonymous
The third rung from the top on an extension ladder is the highest standing point on the ladder and would be the highest rung that you could attach the AC10-20-03. Any Werner task master stage could be used. The stage needs to be supported on both ends and all warning and instructions labels must be followed, including those labels on the plank, ladder jacks and ladders.

Different types of ladders are designed to keep you safe and productive when climbing or standing. Using the wrong style of ladder or simply ignoring the limitations of climbing equipment can result in a fall or serious injury.
Height is referring to the actual ladder height. Extension ladders should be 7 to 10 feet longer than the highest support or contact point, which may be the wall or roof line. The highest standing level is four rungs down from the top. The highest permitted standing level on a stepladder is two steps down from the top.

Reach height is the maximum reach assuming a 5’6” person with a vertical 12” reach.
Ladders are designed to safely hold up to a specific amount of weight. The Werner Performance System defines five different capacities using a color and star rating system. The Duty Rating is defined as the maximum safe load capacity of the ladder. A person’s fully clothed weight plus the weight of any tools and materials that are carried onto the ladder must be less than the load capacity.

Werner offers ladder made from fiberglass and aluminum. Each material has characteristics which make it best for certain applications, or one material may simply fit the personal preferences of the user. For example, if working around electricity users should select fiberglass products due to their non-conductive side rails.
